This website is owned and run by Jean Laurent, an independent product designer based in Lisbon, Portugal. It presents my work, writing, services and products. You can contact me at hello@example.com.

Using the site

You're welcome to browse, read and share links to any page. When using the site, please don't:

• Copy, republish or sell its content without permission.

• Try to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or its private areas.

• Use automated tools to scrape content in bulk.

• Use the contact form to send spam, advertising or unlawful content.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the text, design, illustrations, photos and code on this site belong to me and are protected by copyright.

• Client work. Projects shown in case studies were created for clients, who own the final deliverables. They're shown here with permission, for portfolio purposes only. Client names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners.

• Writing. You may quote short passages from my articles, with credit and a link back to the original.

• Images. Please don't reuse images from the site without written permission.

Private case studies

Some work is protected by a login because it's covered by a confidentiality agreement. If I give you access:

• Your login is for you alone. Please don't share it.

• Treat everything you see as confidential. Don't copy, screenshot, download or share it.

• I may remove access at any time, for example when a project's confidentiality period requires it.

Products

Digital products such as UI kits and templates are sold through a separate store, under that store's terms and each product's license. Those terms apply to any purchase, in addition to these.

Enquiries and freelance work

Sending a message, booking a call or receiving a proposal doesn't create a working relationship or any obligation on either side. Prices and availability shown on the site are indicative and may change. A project starts only when we've both agreed to a written proposal or contract, which then governs scope, fees, timelines, ownership and confidentiality.

Third-party content and links

The site links to and embeds content from other services, such as video, music and social platforms. I'm not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices, and using them is subject to their own terms.

Accuracy and availability

I keep the site accurate and up to date, but I can't guarantee it's always complete, current or free of errors, or that it will always be available. The site is provided as it is, and articles and other content are for general information only, not professional advice.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, I'm not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer.

Privacy

How I handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top always shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Lisbon, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
